Health and Safety

For children's events, we request that adults are present, as children will remain the responsibility of the parent, guardian, event host or organiser, we cannot be responsible for watching over unsupervised children.

It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to inform us of any skin sensitivity, as we will not take responsibility for a re-action to the paint. If you are in any doubt about any reaction to the paint, we are happy to carry out a patch test though it is probably advisable not to paint their face. In this case, a small design painted on their arm or hand which may also double as a patch test may be more appropriate and will be offered at the artist's discretion.

Paints do not contain any peanut oil but do contain anti-bacterial and hypo-allergenic properties specifically designed for safe use on children's sensitive skin.

All Face Paints and glitter used are FDA/EEC compliant and safe for children's sensitive skin. We won't paint children who look as though they may have an illness or skin condition which might be contagious and we do not paint over grazes or broken skin. Equally, we may refuse to paint a child who appears to have eczema. Although this skin condition is not contagious, washing off the paint with soap and water once at home will aggravate it.

We are covered by Public Liability Insurance and CRB checked.

We will not paint any child who does not want to be painted.

Equipment

We bring all equipment needed for your event. We will discuss the arrangements when we take your booking to make certain your event is a success.

Age limit

We do not face paint children under the age of three years old.

Children being painted must have express permission of a parent/carer or be accompanied by them.

Removing face paint

Water-based face paint is very easy to remove and comes off easily with warm soapy water and a face cloth. Use baby wipes to remove the excess paint to begin with and then gently wash the skin with soap and water. Any paint on clothes will wash out, a more stubborn stain may benefit from prior soaking in a stain removal solution before washing

How much does it cost?

This varies depending on the service provided, the number of faces to be painted and the distance to the venue. Please use the provisional booking form and I will be happy to provide a quotation and advise availability. Please note that a 50% deposit is required to secure the booking.

Is there a cancellation policy

Cancellation within four weeks prior to the party or event date attracts a cancellation charge at 50% of the total fee. Should a cancellation be made within three days of the event date, payment of the full balance applies.
